    Since I read the original version of this book around 30 years ago, I can t remember specifics about it I do remember feeling uplifted by it and loving the resolution I think that Tandra Grey, the human central character, did not have a daughter in the original version Shawne, Tandra s daughter, is very central to Tandra s motivations in this version That s entirely appropriate A mother should think of the good of her child and put her first Shawne is a vital addition to the novel s synergy Ther [...]

    Won this through First Reads Program I really liked this book It was kind of a Star Trek like book, kind of a criticism of the human s impact on the world I finished it thinking about my personal effect on the planet It s a very deep, impactful book I d recommend it to anyone
