101 Ways to Dance is a collection of short stories, sometimes as short as two pages long, that follow various teenagers as they first experience love and lust With a topic as interesting and varied as that I expected a lot from 101 Ways to Dance than I got. While trying to come up with exactly what I should say about this book, I came up with only one comparison It was a lot like taking a museum tour.We got to walk through a situation, one of incredibly meaning in a young person s life, but you [...]

Readers of my reviews might think this is an unusual choice of book for me, but really, when you feel passionately about something, there comes a time to step outside the bounds of usual and take a chance on something that could be awesome.Which is what I did And I don t regret it one bit. What this book is about isn t love, but lust, and all the associated feelings behind and it and reasons for it and the things that young people experiencing those feelings will actually do It s a wonderful depa [...]

This book was inspired by a writing exercise that the author used in a creative writing course This is very appropriate as it is a very creative way to approach the topic of relationships for young adults.I enjoyed this book a lot, but I was often left wanting a sign of a great author I loved the setting of the book Canada, of course But what I really loved was the realistic portrayal of characters Unlike the book that I read for my YA course, this book dealt with real relationship in the 21st [...]

Awesome book Definitely a YAY.Having said that, maybe not a must purchase for every library depending on your community self censorship rearing its head here Sexual anticipation, results, hopes, experiments, and fantasies I got teary during two of the short stories, laughed with some, and turned on by others Some are wistful, some plain horny, but all seem honest forays into teen sexual identity, fears, expectations, explorations, and curiosity KDL thumbsupaward sea

I know that a lot of people don t like to read short stories, but I love them Often, I tend to get bored with a story thats over 200 pages Yet, with short stories, that doesn t happen nearly as much Although some of the stories in this collection didn t stand out to me, there were some that did These stories include Everybody Loves A Clown , Waiting For Brian , Micheline and Renee , and Getting Lucky.

A collection of short stories dealing with sex and sexuality amongst teenagers I didn t know of the premise when I picked it up but I really did enjoy the stories They weren t what I was expecting but the realizations and revelations that occur for the youngsters are similar to those anyone has had Losing virginity, first loves and growing up are all included Specifically Everyone loves a clown is great

Though I didn t love her writing, I really respect what Stinson was doing here She s got 14 stories of sexual desire from a very diverse lineup of characters, including characters with cancer, Down Syndrome, and a variety of orientations Sometimes the stories felt a bit didactic especially in terms of pregnancy and seizing opportunities , but most were sexy, heartfelt, and or interesting.

Short stories about teens discovering their sexuality Would be very helpful for girls and boys at young ages that need the reassurance of everything being normal Sometimes our sexuality isn t really black and white , and I like that this book explored a lot of grey areas.Short and fast read Well worth reading Cute stories but, I m way too old for this.
